2023 St. Patrick’s Day Events in Louisville

It’s never too early to start planning for the next St. Patrick’s Day celebration! In 2023, Louisville, KY will be the place to be for this beloved Irish holiday. From traditional Irish music and food to unique cultural events, everyone can find something to enjoy during the week of festivities here in Kentucky’s largest city.

Tartan Day – Be sure to mark your calendar for Tartan Day at the Waterfront Park on March 12th. This family-friendly event celebrates Scottish and Irish culture with traditional musical performances, dancing and art displays. Guests can also peruse vendors selling jewelry and authentic Celtic merchandise while enjoying an array of tasty food options including corned beef and cabbage!

St Patty’s Bash – Welcome in St. Patrick’s Day proper with a grand bash at Fourth Street Live! On March 16th there will be a full line-up of live bands playing classic Irish favorites and other popular hits, carnival rides and games as well as plenty of delicious food stands housed inside giant heated tents spread along the venue for attendees’ comfort throughout the day and evening celebrations.

Dublin Derby Festival – Join tens of thousands of others on March 18th at Churchill Downs for one of Louisville’s most popular annual events – The Dublin Derby Festival! Enjoy family fun activities like pony rides, hay bale mazes and inflatable carnival games; shop from local merchants selling handmade crafts; cheer on horses at world-renowned horse races; enjoy jousting matches; see live music performances throughout the day; sip cold beers at The Kilted Keggers Beer Garden ; take part in dance lessons or cooking classes and much more!

All Things Green Gala – End your St. Patrick’s Day weekend right with dinner, drinks and entertainment that embraces everything green but still maintains a refined atmosphere all its own –The All Things Green Gala!
