Tis the season, for lathering your kids up before they head out to play in the sunshine. Since the rain seems to have left us (at least for now!) we have really started to take notice of the best sunscreen to use. In the age of the spay on sunscreen you have to wonder about the cloud of chemicals that surround your children after the application.
In no particular order here are some of our suggestions for safe sunscreens this summer.
This sunscreen is recommended by the sun cancer foundation. It is waterproof for up to 80 minutes. It comes in 30 SPF and is in lotion form. Very Emollient Mineral Sunscreen.
If you are partial to the spray sunscreens this suncreen is a good choice. The pump sprayer is a better alternative to the aerosol cans. It is a quick drying SPF 50. Kiss My Face Sport Clear Spray Spritz.
Goddess Garden Organics has a great choice in sunscreen. The bottle comes with a pump sprayer as well and is an SPF 30. Just a note, it is like a lotion in a spray bottle, so be prepared to rub it in.
Badger Balm is a lotion type sunscreen that has a lavender scent. It is very thick, but when they made the sunscreen they left all of the bad stuff out! It comes in an SPF 30.
No matter what you choose to put on to keep safe from the sun, some protection is better than no protection!
