Meet Julia Meister, our New Home Consultant! Julia started with us in August 2019 in our Georgetown office.
Julia is originally from a city 20 miles outside of Chicago, Downers Grove. She moved to Chicago when she was 18 and enrolled at the University of Illinois where she earned a degree in Art History and Architecture. There, Julia fell in love with history, decorative and ethnographic art.
Her previous work experience includes over 10 years in antiques and as a Director of Decorative Arts at a Chicago auction house. After 13 years living in Chicago, Julia moved to Georgetown, KY in 2003.
Julia’s responsibilities as a New Home Consultant include preparing and reviewing addendums for homebuyers as well as redlines, so their prints can be created in their draft department, providing information to new potential buyers looking to build and establishing cost estimates, maintaining the office and design center, and initiating community involvement for Taylor Homes. She also schedules appointments and ensures both prospective and current homebuyers always feel welcomed.
Her favorite part about her job is “meeting folks wanting to build and learning their stories, their journey, and then helping to make that dream they have come to life.” Julia also likes being able to help homebuyers customize their homes to their desires. “We have so many ways to recreate a plan and when homebuyers see what we can do, I am just very proud of what Taylor Homes offers and the connections we can build and have with our homebuyers.”
When she is not assisting new homebuyers with the homebuilding process, Julia enjoys landscaping, genealogy, photography, painting abstracts, films, and spending time with family, friends, and four legged furry friends. She would love to one day travel to Grenada in the Caribbean. Her favorite foods are Sushi, Sashimi, and Calamari.
Thanks, Julia, for your passion and drive to help Taylor Homes provide the best experience possible for our homebuyers. Your dedication to our clients doesn’t go unnoticed!
