Unemployment numbers coming in much stronger than expected coupled with a market rally have driven rates up .25-.375% depending upon loan program. With the economy expected to continue its rebound in most sectors be prepared for rates to remain here for the remainder of the busy summer buying/building season. Minor cycles of highs and lows is normal. Also, do not be fooled by Federal Reserve moves that typically cause long term rates like mortgages to rise. Lock in now while you can!”
