It’s been over a month now since social distancing measures have been put in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. That’s about 50 some days we’ve not been to a sit-down restaurant, retail store, the gym, our favorite coffee shop, kids’ sports game, and much more.
Being at home all day can cause some of us to feel a little stir crazy – however, we have some helpful tips to help prevent that.
Open Your Windows and Shades
Sunlight and fresh air can change a mood instantly. If you’re working from home and no longer have a commute, opening a window and the shades can help you feel that cool breeze in the morning. Same goes for lighting a candle or turning on your diffuser. Pick your favorite summery scent and pretend you’re on a beach!
Spend More Time on a Hobby
With more time on your hands, you can now get to the fun hobbies you enjoy such as painting, puzzles, gardening, baking and more. Hobbies give you a time to focus on yourself and unwind, which is not always possible when lives are hectic. Set aside time for yourself and the hobby you enjoy!
Stay Social
It’s so important to remain social while social distancing. This means more FaceTime calls with family and friends. Put something on your calendar to make sure you’re more likely to follow through with the plan.
Go Outside
And lastly, and possibly the most important as to not feeling so cooped-up is go outside. Take a walk, go for a run, hike nearby trails, anything to get outdoors (of course while maintaining social distancing with others). It’s easy to not want to leave your house when there’s no where to go, but being outside can do so much for your mind.
Here at Taylor Homes we know the importance of social distancing which is why we’ve made it possible to still talk with our new home consultants virtually. We can schedule an appointment right from the comfort of your couch and learn more about the home building process. You can do this by visiting TaylorHomes.com and contacting your nearby consultant via email or phone to set up a virtual call.
You can also design your dream home with our interactive floor planner. This is a fun way to learn more about your likes and dislikes in a home. All of our floorplans can be customized to suit your own needs!
