Employee Spotlight: Marcia Mosby

If you have visited Taylor Homes Louisville model home in the last 15 years then there is a pretty good chance you had the pleasure of meeting Marcia Mosby.

Marcia, who is a Louisville native, has long-term commitments when it comes to her work history. Before joining Taylor Homes 15 years ago she was with Kroger for 18 years and also worked as a dog groomer for 13 years. Marcia loved working with dogs, but luckily, she also loves working with people.

Most of the time Marcia can be found welcoming visitors at the front entry desk at Taylor Homes’ corporate office. She is also instrumental in making sure mail and phone calls get directed to the proper people.

Marcia may not do dog grooming any more, but that certainly doesn’t mean she doesn’t continue to love animals. These days Marcia is more focused on training them, having been involved in dog shows since the 1970s. She currently has a couple Shelties, but in the past has loved Dobermans, Golden Retrievers, and Cocker Spaniels. Currently living in her house are 6 dogs, 3 cats (one of which is a Maine Coon that’s larger than a dog) and a Timnah Parrot. It’s a zoo!

Her other interests include reading, doing crafts, and eating seafood at Joe’s Crab Shack and Passtime Fish. Marcia loves birds and wildlife and dreams of doing so in Nicaragua or Costa Rica. She also loves spending time with her adult children and, even more, her grandchildren, ages 6 and 8.

Marcia is always offering a friendly smile and greeting to everyone who crosses her path. There are so many wonderful qualities about Ms. Marcia, but perhaps the most endearing is that she is always there for her friends and coworkers as someone ready to listen without passing judgement. Thank you Marcia for all that you do for the Taylor Team!
