Employee Spotlight: Tara Tricker

Meet Tara, our Shepherdsville/Louisville New Home Consultant! Tara works with our customers to craft and design the custom home of their dreams. Her day-to-day responsibilities include following up with leads, answering emails/questions, and making sure that her customers are on schedule to get started on building their homes. 

After graduating with a degree in art with a concentration in photography, she began working for Red Bull. After 10 years with the brand, she became a Key Account Manager, handling Wal-Mart and Publix on the West coast of Florida. Four years ago, she made the transition to the construction industry, first selling insulation, showers, and custom closet shelving. During her previous position in Florida, she developed and designed Smart Home systems, specializing in Smart Lutron lighting systems, security, AV/sound, and motorized shades. In Naples, she worked on multi-million dollar homes creating the ultimate Smart Home.

Her favorite part about her role at Taylor Homes is helping customers select interior and exterior features for their new homes. Traveling to different parts of Kentucky and Indiana that she has never visited before is also a part of her job that she absolutely loves. One day, you may find her trekking to a county in Kentucky or Indiana for a pre-construction appointment, and the next day she could be working on redlines. For her, no two days are ever the same!

Whenever Tara is not working, you can find her dog sitting/walking for many animals, hiking through the woods, or exploring Indiana. Tara has also been an avid photographer for many years and takes photos of nature and the pets she walks/sits. Her family includes a six-year-old Australian Shepherd, Jax who she is fostering, Snickers and JiJi, her two cats, and two teenage daughters, Rowan, and Kadence.

She would like to explore New Zealand or Argentina on her next overseas trip. Her favorite kind of food is Moroccan or Vietnamese.  

Tara’s tenacious spirit makes it a pleasure to work with her. She believes the core tenants of life are “integrity, humility and curiosity, and of course, the ability to laugh at yourself.” We couldn’t agree more!
