Employee Spotlight with Wendy Woodsmall

Meet Wendy Woodsmall, the Accounts Payable Specialist here at Taylor Homes!  Wendy has been on our Team a whopping 22 years, so we think she likes it here. She says that “the best part of her job is working with all the subcontractors and vendors and making sure they are taken care of and happy with their Taylor Homes relationship.”  Despite the pandemic, Taylor Homes has managed to keep Wendy busy, as business is booming!

In Wendy’s 22 years with the company, she has met hundreds of homeowners who are stressed or anxious about the building processes. This Louisville native’s advice is always, “Take a deep breath and know that once the build is complete, you will have a beautiful home.  Just give us a chance to do what we do best.”

Keeping the books straight at Taylor Homes isn’t Wendy’s only job.  Her husband and her have won 16 ribbons from the Kentucky State Fair since 2011 for entering their hot peppers, that includes 6 blue ribbons!  They love gardening and their peppers are literally the best in Kentucky!  So, if you are thinking about making some homemade salsa just call Wendy and she’ll get all the fresh ingredients out of her amazing garden.

Wendy also loves the Louisville Cardinals, cats, and the Wheel of Fortune (she asks that you please keep your judgements to a minimum). Despite having an aversion to flying she would be willing to make an exception to go to Hawaii, her dream vacation.  We hope you get there one day, Wendy!    Our entire Team sincerely appreciates all your years of dedicated and loyal service; it doesn’t go unrecognized!
