Facts about Left Handed People

Today is National Left Handed Day! Being the south paw that I am, it is a lot of fun to read fun facts about the small percentage of us in the world!

With out further adieu here are some fun left handed facts:

• Left-handed people make up 10-12% of the population.
• Make especially good baseball players, tennis players, swimmers, boxers and fencers (almost 40% of the top tennis players are lefties)
• More than 2,500 left-handed people are killed every year by using equipment meant for right-handed people.
• 4 of the 5 original designers of the Macintosh computer were left-handed
• One in four Apollo astronauts were left-handers
• Lefties tend to excel in fields that require excellent visual-spatial abilities, including architecture and graphic design, but are underrepresented in math and science.
• Left-Handed People Are Better at Video Games
