The fall season is in full swing and Halloween is right around the corner. There are so many fun festivals, family events, and attractions to visit during the fall season, so we’ve compiled a list of Fall to-do’s!
- Visit the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular: This show in Louisville, KY will wow you with their display of over 5,000 beautifully carved pumpkins that are illuminated each night. Walk through the ¼-mile walking trail in Iroquois Park to view this amazing show of pumpkins, music, and lights. The show runs until November 5th. (Image source: jackolanternlouisville.com)
- Attend a Fall Festival: Gather your family and friends and attend a local fall festival. It’s the perfect way to get into the fall spirit before Halloween weekend. Halloween in Brown Park will be held on October 21st in St. Matthews, KY. Attendees will enjoy trick-or-treating, hay rides, bounce houses, a petting zoo, and more family-fun activities.
- Throw a Halloween Party: If you love entertaining, think about throwing a Halloween party. Grab orange and black decorations and make some yummy treats and snacks. Go with simple dishes that everyone can enjoy, and stick with the theme of Halloween when making the desserts. - Go to a Pumpkin Patch: One of our favorite fall traditions is pumpkin carving, and you can’t participate in that without a pumpkin. One of the best local pumpkin patches is Huber’s Orchard and Winery in Southern Indiana. Pick the best pumpkin in the patch to take home and carve. While you’re there, enjoy some delicious food, music, and family-fun in the corn maze.
