Our customers are very excited to see their beautiful Concord design home going up and so are we at Taylor Homes! From an idea on paper to a move-in ready home customized to our customers exact wishes, is what makes being in the home building business so satisfying.
This particular customer has been kind enough to let Taylor Homes document the construction of their home from beginning to completion. Here’s the progress so far:
December 19, 2014: Pre-construction meeting on build site, with customer, the Taylor Homes job superintendent and the New Home Consultant
December 2014 – March 2015: Homeowner finalizes construction loan, any necessary permits and prepares their lot for building
March 17, 2015: Breaking ground
March 24: Started basement foundation
March 30: Basement walls poured, completed foundation
April 10: Began framing
April 25: Finished framing
April 27: Shingles installed
Now the house is under roof, the inside work can begin!
April 28 through May 7: Plumbing, electrical and HVAC rough-ins started
May 12: The brick goes on!
This home is making great progress. We cannot guarantee a completion date to any of our customers, due to so many unforeseen circumstances (such as rock/water at dig site and fickle mother nature), but we strive to make the building process as smooth and quick as possible for each homeowner.
