Memorial Day Discounts

This Memorial Day we wanted to put together a list of places in Kentucky where Military personnel can receive discounts, often these perks extend well past just this long weekend.

Kentucky State Parks: 

When making your reservation April 1, 2015 through October 31, 2015 the military discount will get you 10% off all lodge rooms, cottages, or camp sites. Just select “military discount” when making an online reservation.

Lowes: 

On Memorial Day, Lowe’s 10% military discount is given to those serving in the Armed Services, immediate family and all veterans. To qualify, you must have a valid military ID card, Veteran Identification Card, or other proof of service.

Home Depot: 

All veterans and active duty military qualify for a 10 percent discount from Thursday, May 21 – Monday, May 25. Anyone requesting the Memorial Day veterans discount is asked to present a DOD-issued military ID, a veteran’s driver’s license (in applicable states) or a DD214 that states they were honorably discharged.

Sears:

From May 21 – May 31, active, reserve and retired military men and women are eligible for a double discount: 40 percent off regular priced tools or an extra 10 percent off promotional priced tools. You are asked to present military identification to take advantage of this deal.

JC Penny: 

Is offering a 20% discount for veteran and active military.
