Questions we are asked during our planning process include “How long will the building take?” “What’s the order of things to be done?” and “What’s a “Wall-Tie”?  We like to lay it out for our customers so that they are completely aware of what’s happening – and when. “Set our valued Customers expectations up front”.

Perhaps you’ve not built a house because of the time commitment, or the stress level you think you’ll incur. We try to put those fears aside. What better way to do so than to share a home being built, step-by-step, with our online community?

Back in February, we began to do just that. Using the #TaylorBuild hashtag, we used our online communities on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to share the story of one home being built from the ground up.

The building process we documented was a home for a family in Taylorsville, KY (coincidence huh?). They purchased a lovely lot in the area in which they wanted to live, and we worked with them to draw up plans and create a home where they could raise their young family.

The family chose the Bristol Contemporary Series style of home from our collection of floorplans (link to https://www.taylorhomes.com/model-homes). Based on their needs and taste, they changed a few things from the original floor plan including: Great Room and Kitchen layout. Although Taylor Homes offers the ease of selecting one of our pre-designed floorplans, customers are always welcome to mix-and-match as they like, or design their own. Let us know what you like—and we’ll provide you a FREE Estimate (hyperlink here to “Free Estimate”)

Along the way, the customer got to know our team and had the opportunity to check in on the process. During the interior design process, they selected Armstrong Cabinets, Dover White Sherwin Williams Paint, Delta Faucets, Mohawk Flooring, etc.

It’s always fun for us to build a home. Our customers become part of the Taylor Homes family and it’s such a joy to hand over the keys. We wish this family a wonderful future in their new home. And if they ever decide to do it again, we’ll be here for them.
